The partners at Lund University organized an Open Day on November 22nd 2005. We invited the third year students from the local upper secondary schools. The students listened to talks, watched a documentary, had a guided walk in the laboratories and discussed a scientific article with our post docs. This open day was a great success and will be repeated annually.
The partners at Lund University organized a second Open Day on November 22nd 2007. We invited the third year students from the local upper secondary schools. The students listened to talks, had a guided walk in the laboratories, visited our animal facilities and discussed a scientific article with our post docs. The students also participated in a competition where they had to mount sections of mouse brains. The winners received prizes in the form of the book "Konsten att läsa tankar" by Henrik Fexeus. This open day was a great success and will continue to be repeated annually.
Profesor Lendahl has lectured at the National Museum for Natural History (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet) on the development of the brain, stem cells and future cell-based therapies for neurodegernative disease (August 19, 2007).
Numerous appearances at TV and radio by the members of our NCoE.
